Williamsburg Hamlet Maintenance Association Needs Your Vote
This is a follow up to our previous post about entitled "2023 Annual Meeting/Board Member Elections" dated September 21, 2023. We are still hoping to reach a quorum. Please help the WHMA by providing your vote today.
To meet the quorum which is the number of members entitled to cast, or proxies entitled to cast, one-tenth (1/10) of the votes of each class of membership shall constitute a quorum for any action except as otherwise provided in the Articles of Incorporation, the Restrictions, or these Bylaws... see Article III, Meetings of Members, Section 4. Quorum. of the WHMA Bylaws.
When a Texas HOA fails to meet a quorum, it can:
- Stop the association from conducting any business
- Delay any association-related action
- Cost the association time and money to reschedule a meeting
- Affect the community and its members
- Make any action the board takes subject to challenge
- Cause board members to remain on the board until their successor is elected
The cost associated with failing to meet a quorum is passed on to us - the WHMA community homeowners.
